Summary: The HR Specialist-Talent Acquisition Employee Development is responsible for attracting top talent, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience, and fostering employee growth through training and development programs. This role partners with hiring managers to manage full-cycle recruitment while also designing and implementing firm-wide training initiatives. Additionally, the HR specialist ensures hiring and training processes align with compliance regulations and industry best practices to support the organization’s long-term talent strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs
  • Attention to detail and a data-driven approach to hiring and training decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state labor law compliance related to hiring and training.
  • Familiarity with HR technology, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, onboarding and/or training
  • General HR experience strongly preferred, including experience handling compliance-related issues and sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional environment preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop targeted hiring strategies
  • Build talent pipelines
  • Oversee employer branding efforts to position the firm as an employer of choice
  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment reporting
  • Ensure compliance with hiring regulations
  • Develop and facilitate new hire orientation programs to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate first-day logistics, including IT setup, training schedules and introductions.
  • Implement structured onboarding plans
  • Gather feedback on the onboarding process and make improvements to enhance employee experience.
  • Coordinate and implement organizational-wide training programs
  • Assess training needs and develop customized learning solutions for difference employee levels
  • Manage compliance training (anti-harassment, ethics, workplace policies)
  • Track training attendance, effectiveness, and engagement through data analysis and reporting
  • Monitor key HR metrics, including turnover, hiring trends and training effectiveness
  • Collaborate with managers on workforce planning to anticipate future hiring and training needs
  • Identify process improvements in recruitment and training to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
