The Department of Administrative Services - State Personnel Classification and Compensation team is seeking a HR Specialist Senior to join their team to help serve the agencies of the State of Nebraska! Under limited supervision, the HR Specialist Senior performs analytical work including the collection, analysis, evaluation, and documentation of requests from operating agencies related to personnel classification and compensation needs. This position provides Division management data and comments pertinent to Nebraska State Personnel classification and compensation program proposals, actions, and issues; makes varied position classification determinations and cost projections, and provides technical advice, assistance, and training to agency managers and employees, co-workers, and representatives of senior State officials and other groups; serves as a representative for the DAS - State Personnel Division when working with State officials, agencies, and employees, and associated groups about existing and new personnel program functions and activities. As needed, the HR Specialist Senior leads other staff and/or oversees and coordinates personnel administration studies, projects, or functions; performs related work as assigned.
