About The Position

The HR Specialist I delivers the SIS onboarding experience for new hires, including processing, licensing prerequisites, and service at volume and on deadline. Because SIS employees work at client sites, hires must be fully processed and licensed before they can work. This is an office-based role in San Jose, California, with travel to hiring events and work sites as business requires.

Requirements

• High school diploma at minimum.
• At least 1 year of experience in onboarding, HR administration, recruiting coordination, or high-volume administrative processing.
• Accuracy under volume and a record of meeting deadlines.
• Comfort working across an HRIS and multiple tracking systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to travel to hiring events and work sites as business requires.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with security industry licensing requirements.
• Spanish fluency.
• Paycom experience.

Responsibilities

• Process new hires end to end, including offer paperwork, background and screening, I-9, and system setup (45%).
• Own licensing prerequisites for assigned hires and coordinate with Licensing and Compliance to ensure no employee starts unlicensed (25%).
• Deliver the new hire experience through effective contact, answers, and follow-through (20%).
• Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and the tracking system of record (10%).
