About The Position

PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years. PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction. The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting resumes for a HR and Safety Coordinator. Your job as a HR and Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting human resources functions while promoting and maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

College Degree
Two (2) or more years related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experiences

Nice To Haves

PHR Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Recruiting administration; including posting positions to various job sites, screening candidates, and drug testing and background check administration.
Assist with timekeeping responsibilities.
Training administration for HR and Safety; including recordkeeping and conducting in-person training.
Assist in coordinating special events.
Prepares and maintains a variety of routine to moderately complex reports for management.
Assist with recruiting interviews, conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews.
Engages, implements, and effectively communicates with plant employees and leadership on best practices as it pertains to HR and Safety.
Attends training and educational seminars as appropriate to learn regulatory requirements.
Visibly demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and the safety of all employees and contractors.
Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
All other special projects or tasks as assigned.
