Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant experience.
  • 5 years of administrative and clerical experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Communications Skills in a Manufacturing Environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers on a wide range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, training support, and compliance.
  • Assist the Human Resources Department in administering various human resource programs such as attendance, employee relations, compensation, records retention, benefits, worker’s compensation, short and long term disability, recruitment, policies and procedures, employee opinion survey, administration, communications, retirement preparation, and company events.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State labor laws.
  • Develop and place recruitment ads.
  • Work with local high schools/tech schools to develop a training program for trades.
  • Schedule interviews and conduct background checks.
  • Schedule and plan new hire orientations.
  • Maintain employee records (seniority, pay, addresses, benefits, etc.).
  • Assist with the administration of various employee-health, welfare, EAP, and retirement plans.
  • Maintain Internal Bidding system for hourly employees.
  • Manage hiring processes for full-time/seasonal positions, including job advertisement, orientation, Workday, UKG, benefits, and background checks.
  • Generate headcount reports.
  • Provide support during negotiations.
  • Gather and report Affirmative Action Plan data.
  • Handle mass mailings to employees and retirees regarding benefits, etc.
  • Act as a backup for the HR Specialist.
  • Perform administrative HR tasks and other duties as assigned.
