About The Position

The Human Resources Representative supports multi-site operations by providing professional HR guidance and administrative support in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, training, compliance, and workforce planning. This role serves as a key partner to site leadership teams, ensuring consistent application of company policies, HR programs, and employment practices across all locations while fostering a positive, safe, and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, logistics, distribution, or other operational environments.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or a distributed workforce is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and build trust at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Proficient in handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent College Diploma.
  • 2-3 years of progressive HR experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • CHRP or working towards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hourly and salaried recruitment activities across multiple facilities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer processes.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives to maintain adequate staffing levels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in job fairs, community outreach, and workforce development initiatives to attract talent.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee and supervisor HR-related questions.
  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, employee relations matters, and workplace concerns.
  • Support investigations related to employee complaints, attendance, policy violations, and workplace issues.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote positive employee relations across all assigned sites.
  • Assist management with corrective action, coaching, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial legislation.
  • Maintain personnel records and HRIS data accuracy for multiple locations.
  • Coordinate administration of leaves of absence and return-to-work processes.
  • Assist with policy communication and implementation across all sites.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Partner with site leadership to ensure successful employee integration and retention.
  • Track and maintain training records, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Support employee development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and recognition programs across multiple locations.
  • Analyze turnover trends and provide recommendations to improve retention.
  • Support employee surveys, action planning, and culture initiatives.
  • Promote the company's values, safety culture, and employee experience.
  • Prepare and maintain personnel files, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation.
  • Draft and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook content.
  • Manage documentation for performance reviews, corrective actions, and investigations.
  • Travel regularly between assigned facilities to support employees and management.
  • Build strong partnerships with plant managers, supervisors, and operational leaders.
  • Ensure consistency in HR practices and employee experience across all locations.
