About The Position

A Human Resources Representative II serves as an HR support role, acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers. The Human Resources Representative II position focuses on providing timely assistance with basic HR questions, managing unemployment processing, accurately documenting employee concerns, and handling administrative and compliance tasks with a high level of customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules/regulations, procedures and administration is preferred
  • 1+ years of professional experience in human resources preferred
  • Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment including computers.
  • Excellent customer service skills with genuine desire to assist others, enthusiastic team player, proper phone and email etiquette, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, good time management skills, ability to exercise independent judgment, ability to use tact and persuasion under pressure in extremely controversial and confrontational situations, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action, exceptional follow up skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse field employee related issues, concerns, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for employees and managers through HR hotline and email, helping direct questions to the correct department or providing support within role scope
  • Handles high-volume HR hotline inquires and unemployment claim processing with high level of accuracy
  • Responsible for handling unemployment claims by gathering documentation, connecting with managers for separation details, and completing responses timely
  • Intakes employee questions and concerns, documents details clearly in HR systems and routes to appropriate leader for follow-up
  • Supports managers by documenting questions or incident and providing basic guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Identifies complex issues and properly escalates to appropriate team member or Supervisor.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation regarding employee and manager questions or concerns using internal tools and systems for tracking and work accuracy.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Gather data and compile various reporting
  • Aid risk/legal departments upon request
  • Maintain personal grooming and company uniform standards.
  • Maintain company attendance standards.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
