About The Position

Waltonen is actively seeking an HR Recruiting Specialist to join our team! This role will oversee the entire candidate experience across the Waltonen Group, including Waltonen Engineering, Independence Tooling Solutions, and Geometric Solutions. The specialist will conduct full-cycle recruitment, manage the ATS database, and provide recruiting updates and insights to upper management. The position requires understanding multiple markets and geographies for candidate sourcing, utilizing creative search methods, building a candidate pipeline, and exploring innovative avenues to attract candidates. Attendance and organization of recruiting events are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of related recruiting experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience utilizing a common applicant tracking system
  • Engineering and/or manufacturing recruiting experience
  • Ability to multitask and pivot based on changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel between Warren and Troy locations based on interview schedules

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the defense, government, automotive, or aerospace industries
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire candidate experience across the Waltonen Group, including Waltonen Engineering, Independence Tooling Solutions, and Geometric Solutions.
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment for all candidates, including reference checks.
  • Make daily outbound calls to candidates for phone screens.
  • Communicate job opportunities to potential candidates and share our company story.
  • Assess skill sets and match candidates to current openings via phone conversations.
  • Create and send candidate summaries to the appropriate hiring managers.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct interviews across locations based on candidate and hiring manager availability.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for all new employees, including conducting orientation sessions, managing new hire paperwork, and negotiating and extending offers of employment.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company benefits to communicate to prospective candidates.
  • Develop comprehensive job descriptions based on business needs.
  • Maintain job postings on various internet sites (Monster, Michigan Talent, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Manage the ATS database (JazzHR).
  • Provide weekly recruiting updates to upper management.
  • Provide insights on industry trends (compensation, benefits, hiring, etc.) and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Understand multiple markets and geographies for candidate sourcing.
  • Utilize creative search methods to identify top candidates in today's competitive marketplace.
  • Build a pipeline of candidates through networking and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Proactively explore new, innovative avenues to attract candidates.
  • Attend and organize recruiting events as needed.
