We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR & Recruiting Coordinator to join our team at our South San Francisco fulfillment center. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role on our warehouse floor. You'll run high-volume hourly recruiting and support day-to-day HR operations. You'll work closely with the warehouse and HR leadership team, including the People Operations Manager, warehouse managers, the Head of Talent, and the CEO. The role involves Recruiting & Onboarding: Sourcing, screening, and welcoming our hourly, non-exempt warehouse team. HR Administration & Compliance: Supporting the day-to-day coordination of timekeeping, attendance tracking, safety compliance, and employee documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in HR administration, recruiting, or operations support (ideally in a warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or hospitality environment).
  • You hold a standard. You are comfortable saying no to a candidate who does not clear the bar, and you do not soften criteria under pressure to fill a shift.
  • 100% on-site at our South San Francisco warehouse.
  • Incredible attention to detail—you are someone who gets a thrill out of clean spreadsheets, organized files, and keeping tasks on track.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; you can communicate clearly and empathetically with both hourly associates and leadership.
  • A positive "roll-up-your-sleeves" startup mindset—you are happy to jump from screening candidates to filing paperwork to walking the floor.

  • Spanish Language Skills: Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pipeline for non-exempt warehouse roles (associates, returns specialists, temporary support) using our ATS, and keep candidate records accurate and current.
  • Screen & Conduct in-person screens to assess reliability, attitude, and fit, and coordinate interviews for the Warehouse Manager.
  • Coordinate interviews onsite and keep the process moving with short lag times.
  • Lead weekly day-one orientations, ensuring new hires are set up in our systems, trained on basic safety, and welcomed warmly to the team.
  • Conduct daily audits of hourly timecards, track attendance, manage meal/rest break compliance, and flag discrepancies for supervisors.
  • Maintain organized employee files and ensure all workplace safety posters, incident reports, and state-mandated compliance records are up to date.
  • Act as a friendly, accessible point of contact for frontline staff regarding basic HR questions (benefits, PTO, paychecks, policies).
  • Spend active time walking the warehouse floor.
