About The Position

The HR Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruiting and hiring process for positions across the company’s operations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. This position will recruit for a variety of roles, including warehouse, delivery driver, operations lead, and counter sales. The HR Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, coordinate interviews, complete required pre-employment screenings, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position will provide support across the HR department by assisting with day-to-day HR activities, answering inbound HR calls, researching and resolving employee HR discrepancies, and providing general HR administrative support. The HR Recruiter will also assist with career fairs, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a people-focused field preferred
  • 2+ years of recruiting and/or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience managing recruiting processes through an ATS/HRIS; Paycom experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for hourly, operational, warehouse, transportation, sales, or similar positions preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with candidates, hiring managers, employees, and HR leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities across multiple locations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and candidate information with discretion.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for career fairs, recruiting events, and other company activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruiting process from initial application through offer and onboarding.
  • Recruit for positions across seven states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
  • Recruit for a variety of positions, including: Warehouse and Distribution, Delivery Drivers, Operations Leads, Counter Sales, and Other positions as assigned.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate qualifications.
  • Post and maintain job openings in Paycom and other recruiting portals and job boards.
  • Review and screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial phone screens with applicants to evaluate qualifications, experience, availability, and overall fit.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-person interviews between qualified candidates and hiring managers.
  • Work with hiring managers to coordinate interview schedules and follow up on candidate feedback and next steps.
  • Assist with the preparation and extension of employment offers.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within Paycom.
  • Utilize additional recruiting platforms, job boards, and other resources to source qualified candidates.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Monitor open requisitions and provide regular updates to hiring managers and HR leadership.
  • Assist with career fairs, job fairs, recruiting events, school visits, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Build relationships with schools, workforce development organizations, staffing agencies, and other recruiting resources.
  • Support recruiting initiatives designed to increase applicant flow and strengthen the company’s talent pipeline.
  • Initiate and manage background checks for new hires through the appropriate screening platforms.
  • Complete required pre-employment screenings for driver positions, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks and other applicable requirements.
  • Ensure all required screening and employment documentation is completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Monitor outstanding screening requirements and follow up with candidates as needed.
  • Communicate screening status and results with appropriate HR personnel and hiring managers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information throughout the screening process.
  • Ensure candidates meet all applicable pre-employment requirements prior to their start date.
  • Coordinate and complete onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork and required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements prior to an employee’s start date.
  • Ensure new hires are properly entered and established within Paycom and other applicable systems.
  • Communicate start dates and onboarding information with new employees and hiring managers.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Provide new hires with information regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and other employment-related resources.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process and assist with resolving questions or issues.
  • Provide support across a broad range of day-to-day HR functions and administrative activities.
  • Assist with managing the HR department’s daily workload and priorities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers by answering inbound HR phone calls and responding to general HR inquiries.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve inbound HR discrepancies and employee questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist employees and managers with questions related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, employment records, onboarding, and other HR-related matters.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive employee issues to the appropriate HR team member or leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist with employee file maintenance and HRIS updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist with special HR projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
