HR Program Manager

o9 Solutions, Inc.•Dallas, TX
•$118,856 - $163,426

About The Position

At o9, our mission is to be the Most Value-Creating Platform for enterprises by transforming decision-making through our AI-first approach. By integrating siloed planning capabilities and capturing millions—even billions—in value leakage, we help businesses plan smarter and faster. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces waste, leading to better outcomes for both businesses and the planet. Global leaders like Google, PepsiCo, Walmart, T-Mobile, AB InBev, and Starbucks trust o9 to optimize their supply chains. We are looking for a strong HR program manager who can help bring structure, visibility, and follow-through to major People initiatives across o9. We need someone who can be both strategic and execution-focused — someone who can see the bigger picture, understand how different pieces of work connect, and stay close enough to the details to make sure progress is being made. This person will not lead every HR initiative. In some cases, they may directly manage the project. In others, they will help make sure there is a clear plan, regular status updates, clear ownership, known risks, and follow-up on key actions. The work will vary throughout the year based on business needs. We need someone who can step into different situations, quickly understand what is happening, determine what level of support is needed, and help keep the work moving.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in HR, program management, project management, business operations, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders and keeping work moving across competing priorities.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including planning, timelines, ownership, risk tracking, communications, and follow-up.
  • Experience using standard project management tools as well as generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to reduce manual work, automate repetitive tasks, and drive efficiency.
  • Ability to take unclear or loosely defined work and turn it into a practical plan.
  • Strong judgment and the confidence to raise risks, challenge timelines, and push for decisions when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to give clear and concise updates.
  • Can take an unclear or loosely defined project and build a workable plan.
  • Is comfortable managing the project process and keeping others accountable for their pieces.
  • Thinks ahead and notices what is missing before it becomes a problem.
  • Can work with senior leaders while also managing the details needed to get work done.
  • Is willing to ask questions, challenge timelines, and push for decisions when needed.
  • Communicates clearly and keeps updates simple and useful.
  • Can manage several priorities at the same time.
  • Understands how HR teams work and how different HR processes connect.
  • Can work independently without needing every next step laid out for them.
  • Is comfortable working across functions, countries, and time zones.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with major HR processes such as performance management, employee engagement, talent programs, HR technology, or organizational initiatives is preferred.

  • Experience working in a global organization or across multiple regions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management support across key People initiatives, with the level of involvement depending on the needs of each project.
  • Directly manage selected HR projects from planning through completion.
  • Help ensure initiatives have clear plans, owners, timelines, status updates, risks, and next steps.
  • Keep work moving by following up on open items, surfacing blockers, and making sure decisions are made at the right time.
  • Maintain visibility across major People initiatives so leaders understand progress, risks, and upcoming needs.
  • Coordinate across HRBPs, People teams, leaders, and other partners when work spans multiple groups.
  • Make sure communication is built into project plans so the right audiences know what is happening and what is expected of them.
  • Maintain a clear calendar of major People activities, deadlines, and business-facing events.
  • Support major recurring HR processes by helping manage timelines, communications, testing, follow-up, and completion.
  • Help structure the annual HR strategy and goal-setting process for the People team.
  • Plan and organize HR leadership strategy sessions throughout the year.

  • Track progress against agreed goals and make sure they stay visible throughout the year.
  • Capture decisions and actions from leadership sessions and make sure there is follow-through.
  • Support post-project reviews and help carry lessons learned into future work.
  • Look for ways to improve how HR initiatives are planned, tracked, communicated, and completed.
  • Leverage project management software and modern AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to streamline administrative workflows, save time, and increase automation across People processes.
