HR Operations Specialist

Ichor Systems•Austin, TX

About The Position

The HR Operations Specialist executes and quality-checks employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, terminations, and onboarding and offboarding for contingent and international workers. The role maintains employee and organizational data in Oracle HCM and connected systems, validates data, investigates errors, and supports system testing, enhancements, and workflow improvements. The position produces and interprets recurring and ad hoc workforce reports, including headcount, turnover, and organizational change reporting. It uses Oracle and Power BI reporting and dashboards to reduce manual work and provide automated, on-demand views, and communicates trends and recommendations clearly. The role also prepares governmental and regulatory reporting, maintains records, and supports audits and internal controls. The specialist partners with Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, external vendors, Talent Acquisition, HR colleagues, managers, and employees. Work includes reviewing inputs, supporting enrollment and compensation-planning cycles, resolving discrepancies, assisting with requisitions and onboarding, administering contractor and consulting agreements, and responding to policy, process, and employment questions. The role documents procedures, identifies opportunities to simplify and automate work, contributes to HR projects and transformation initiatives, and shares knowledge with peers. Success requires critical and systems thinking: evaluating information and assumptions, understanding how HR and related business processes connect, anticipating downstream effects, identifying root causes, and weighing risk, compliance, and employee and business impact. The position calls for sound judgment, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle ambiguity and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
