About The Position

BukuWarung is a profitable fintech platform serving MSMEs in Indonesia and the Philippines. Our field teams, Merchant Sales Executives (MSE) and Retail Sales Executives (RSE), sell and install QRIS and EDC payment devices, forming the core of the company's revenue. The Regional People Operations Officer acts as the People Team's representative in the field for the regional field teams. You will support regional recruitment and manage local people operations, coordinating On-the-Job Trials (OJT), onboarding, offboarding, and daily HR administration. This is a hands-on contract role focused on ensuring recruitment, retention, and people processes run smoothly in priority regions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in People Operations, HR administration, ideally in a field or high-volume role.
  • Residing in Palembang with an understanding of the local labor market.
  • Hands-on experience with onboarding administration, BPJS registration, and PKWT contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to handle recruitment support and operations simultaneously.
  • Clear communication skills to interact with candidates and field managers.
  • High sense of ownership, dependable, service-oriented, and trustworthy in handling confidential employee and payroll data.

Responsibilities

  • Support Recruitment: Organize walk-in interviews, local hiring activities, and referral programs through field leaders to fill the field recruitment funnel. Source and recommend local recruitment vendors/partners (recruitment agencies, job fairs, campuses, community networks) and forward the best options to the TA team for evaluation and onboarding. Assist in resolving pipeline bottlenecks through postings on local job portals, community outreach, candidate follow-up, and initial screening and interview scheduling as needed.
  • Coordinate On-the-Job Trial (OJT): Schedule the 2-day field trials, assign field managers, and communicate expectations. Reduce OJT drop-offs by confirming attendance, maintaining communication during trials, and following up with no-show candidates. Monitor OJT completion rates, conversion to hires, and reasons for drop-offs, reporting findings to the HRBP and TA teams.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new field employees (MSE and RSE). While contracts, BPJS, and payroll setup are managed by vendors, your role is to follow up and monitor vendors to ensure each stage is completed correctly and on time, and to ensure a seamless first-day experience for new employees. Coordinate a structured first-week induction to support the early retention of new MSEs and RSEs. Manage offboarding comprehensively: conduct exit interviews, ensure clearance is completed according to the offboarding checklist, and ensure vendors process exit administration (BPJS and payroll deactivation) correctly. Maintain accuracy of exit records with correct attrition reason codes, and ensure no documentation gaps in the onboarding or offboarding process.
  • People Operations: Monitor and follow up on vendor administration. Be responsible for data accuracy. Keep employee databases up-to-date and accurate, ensuring new hires, active employees, and leavers are recorded correctly and reconciled with vendor data.
