About The Position

Persistent Systems is seeking an HR Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operations of the HR Operations function. This role helps ensure core processes run smoothly and consistently across the employee lifecycle by coordinating workflows, maintaining accurate records, and supporting key programs including payroll, benefits, HR systems, and lifecycle operations. As part of the HR Operations team, this role helps maintain reliable processes, accurate data, and operational consistency while supporting ongoing improvements to systems and workflows as the company continues to grow. This position is full-time and based out of our New York City headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in HR, business operations, or administrative support in a professional or office environment (including internships or similar hands-on experience)
  • Experience working with HR systems, databases, or structured operational workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within defined processes while maintaining organization and consistency
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Must have the ability to obtain a United States security clearance

  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, or HRIS-related processes

  • Experience using case management, ticketing, or workflow tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Support HR workflows across the employee lifecycle, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Monitor HR Operations intake channels and coordinate responses to employee requests, resolve routine questions and routing more complex issues to the appropriate team member
  • Assist with lifecycle administration including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding activities in coordination with IT, Security, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare HR documentation and maintain accurate employee records in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements
  • Provide administrative support for payroll, benefits, employee leave, and other processes
  • Maintain trackers and shared documentation used by the HR Operations team to support workflow visibility and process consistency
  • Assist with routine data reviews and reporting preparation, identifying discrepancies or issues that require follow-up
  • Help maintain procedures and documentation while supporting ongoing improvements to workflows and processes as the company scales
