About The Position

The mission of Mediagenix is to enable renowned media companies (e.g. BBC, Disney, Discovery, Paramount) worldwide to bring content to the viewer in the most efficient and future-proof way with the help of our business management system. We are on the lookout for a Temporary HR Officer in the US to cover for someone while on maternity leave. The length of the temporary role is from 5-6 months starting mid-November and ending at the end of May 2027. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related.
5 years of relevant working experience in HR.
Experience processing payroll (preferably in multiple states).
Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Hands-on, detailed and solution-oriented approach.
Pro at analyzing, documenting and thinking outside of the box.
Able to work 5-6 months starting mid-November and ending end of May.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship indefinitely.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with a PEO is a plus.
PHR Certification preferred.
Ideally live in the South Florida area.

Responsibilities

Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
Manage the organization’s employee database and produce and maintain reports on the HR domain.
Compile and process employee documentation and keep the SharePoint, HiBob and all HR data up to date.
Encourage and support the US people in using the employee database.
Independently run all payroll, benefits, and health insurance related processes and work directly with our PEO.
Participate in the development/update of organizational guidelines and procedures based on changes made to state and/or federal laws and regulations.
Schedule and coordinate onboarding assignments.
Keep up-to-date with the latest HR laws, regulations, trends and best practices in all relevant states.
Work with our legal team on a variety of domains: Compliance, Registrations in multiple states, Business licenses, Corporate housekeeping / admin.
