About The Position

Rossmönster is seeking a hands-on HR & Office Manager to serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for Rossmonster. This role will support employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll and benefits, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and offboarding. You’ll also partner closely with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and oversee the day-to-day administrative needs of the office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive HR, HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar experience.
  • Hands-on experience with employee relations, recruiting, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR administration.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working directly with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive situations professionally.
  • Someone who takes ownership, finds answers, and follows issues through to resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance, attendance, policies, and workplace concerns.
  • Support coaching, corrective action, performance improvement, and employee documentation.
  • Partner with leadership and the PEO on more complex HR and compliance matters.
  • Maintain employee records, policies, and required HR documentation.
  • Coordinate employee changes, promotions, compensation changes, leaves, and terminations.
  • Support performance reviews, employee engagement, training, and other HR initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary company contact with our PEO.
  • Coordinate payroll changes and review payroll information for accuracy.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee benefits and payroll questions.
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment.
  • Partner with the PEO on payroll, benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, and other employee matters.
  • Coordinate recruiting from job posting through offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers on staffing needs.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial screens, and coordinate interviews.
  • Manage candidate communication, offers, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Own the onboarding process and help ensure new employees have a positive start.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding and separation processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day office administrative needs.
  • Coordinate office supplies, vendors, meetings, employee events, and facility needs.
  • Help maintain an organized and welcoming workplace.
  • Support leadership and the team with administrative projects as needed.
