Internship Description: Interns will actively contribute to the daily administration of a community based, guest driven Drop-In Center that offers recovery focused support, advocacy, leisure, and enrichment activities to persons living with mental illnesses and disabilities who desire to engage fully in community life. Interns provide and coordinate a range of activities aimed at engaging and motivating guests living independently in the Northwest Suburbs. Interns will assist Drop-In staff in running and supporting group activities, learn relevant community resources to share and refer with guests, engage and motivate guests, and other tasks assigned.
