As a HR Intern PS Rewards & Benefits on our Corporate Functions team, you will become the heart of our organization by developing strategies, refining processes, and implementing initiatives that empower our business to thrive. Requirements

  • Current status of enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or a related field program (BS required, MS preferred)
  • Previous internship or work experience in HR, business, or a related field (preferably 1-2 years)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • 24 hours a week for 12 months

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws (e.g., employment law, benefits, compensation), benefits administration, compensation analysis, or other HR functions (desirable)
  • Volunteer or extracurricular experience in HR-related roles (e.g., HR club, student organization) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in verifying the employment eligibility of new hires, including reviewing I-9 forms and ensuring compliance with federal regulations
  • Support the process of sponsoring employees for work visas, including preparing paperwork and communicating with external vendors
  • Assist in managing the E-Verify system, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and resolving any issues that arise
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee immigration documents, including passports, visas, and green cards
  • Accurately and efficiently enter data into HR systems, including employee information, benefits, and compensation data
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to inform HR decisions, including metrics on employee engagement, turnover, and benefits utilization.
  • Support various HR projects, including employee recognition programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and compliance projects.
  • Assist in preparing for audits, including reviewing documentation, preparing reports, and responding to auditor requests
  • Participate in special projects, such as implementing new HR systems or processes, or supporting the development of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related matters, including answering questions, resolving issues, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures related to R&B
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations
