This internship is for students entering their senior year of undergraduate study who are on track to graduate in Spring 2027. The internship will be full-time through the summer and part-time through the school year. The Benefits and Total Rewards Intern position is an excellent opportunity for aspiring HR talent, combining impactful project work with learning and executing routine operational tasks. The intern will work in an award-winning HR team and report directly to the Senior Benefits Manager.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited college/university actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and able to take initiative when completing tasks
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete work accurately and on time
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to supporting the HR team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources Management major preferred but not required
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Dayforce HCM) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Benefits department by learning and understanding Janney’s full suite of benefits
  • Ability to field employee in-bound questions on benefits and workflows
  • Assist in creating and maintaining employee records in Dayforce HCMS
  • Support with onboarding documentation and conduct follow-ups to meet deadlines
  • Support key projects integral to the Benefits/Total Rewards function
  • Partner with Benefits team members on cross-functional projects, including data audits and invoice tracking
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
