Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) What's in it for you: The HR Generalist will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Trane Technologies principles, corporate policies and procedures, and manufacturing operations. They will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, productivity, and ensuring employee compliance with company policies. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
  • Experience with a broad HR Generalist skill, including employee relations, recruiting, local and federal law knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of customers, clients, vendors, visitors, and employees.
  • Detail-orientated, organized, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with a team, with excellent project management.
  • Self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred past experience in a plant environment, strongly preferred
  • Preferred experienced and knowledge in HRMS and other HR Systems, Workday and UKG experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as an HR Generalist providing HR counsel to business management teams; responsible for support in execution of HR strategies and programs that support business and corporate goals.
  • Engages in overall talent practices including success profiling, on-boarding, talent development and management, retention, and engagement programs.
  • Partners with team on onboarding employees; provides tools/resources to new employees on culture, company, and groups.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets HR related data for report generation and management decision making, links HR action plans with business needs.
  • Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills.
  • Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions, while also seeing opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Intake of employee relations issues, such as allegations, complaints, or other concerns brought up from employees.
  • Demonstrates awareness of the cross-cultural impact of HR processes, coaches’ managers on the positive impact of a progressive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
  • Works with local management team to develop and implement engagement and retention plans.
  • Performs majority of HR administration work related to recruiting, onboarding, payroll, employee records, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by HRBP.
