About The Position

We are looking for an HR Generalist who thrives on a versatile role with plenty of responsibility and variety. You’ll play a key role in strengthening a positive, people-centric culture within our organization. From our office in Veenendaal, you’ll be the point of contact for all People Operations activities, with a focus on the Netherlands and Belgium. You’ll also work closely with our global People Operations team to provide optimal support to colleagues in other countries (13 countries worldwide). In this role, you’ll work closely with managers who are building their teams and rely on you for advice, guidance, and decisive action. You’re visible throughout the organization, know what’s going on, and switch effortlessly between operational execution and tactical problem-solving. One day you’re recruiting a new colleague and overseeing the hiring process; the next, you’re helping a new employee get off to a flying start or supporting a manager with a complex HR issue. Thanks to your proactive approach and broad perspective, you ensure that processes run smoothly and that people can perform at their best. This is a HYBRID role, working from our Veenendaal office 2-3 days a week.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in a broad HR role, preferably in an international environment
  • College-level education and way of thinking
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, absenteeism, and payroll
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Dutch labour law
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment with various stakeholders
  • Willing to work 2–3 days a week at the office in Veenendaal (hybrid work)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Belgian labour law is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Handling all day-to-day HR tasks for all employees in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Working with the HRIS system (including BambooHR) and ensuring accurate and up-to-date personnel data
  • Supporting HR processes with smart and efficient systems
  • Administrative tasks related to onboarding and offboarding
  • Supporting and coordinating payroll administration in the Netherlands and Belgium, and in other countries as needed
  • Managing and coordinating employee benefits such as insurance and pensions
  • Actively supporting the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and guiding hiring managers
  • Assisting with the management of absenteeism cases and the application of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act
  • Actively contributing ideas regarding employee engagement and fostering a culture of recognition and development
  • Serving as a point of contact for managers regarding employee progress and development
