Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a Human Resources role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
• Familiarity with employment law, employee relations, safety, and training practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor when working with co-workers at all levels.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• PHR certification.
• Retail-based HR experience or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions about standard policies, benefits, and HR systems.
• Assist managers with hiring, coordinate background and reference checks, and manage onboarding using ADP Workforce Now.
• Process, verify, and maintain personnel, medical, safety, and training documentation in the HRIS.
• Help ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, support safety protocols, and assist with Workers' Compensation and OSHA records.
• Partner with management and employees to keep job descriptions current.
• Support payroll processing procedures when needed.
