About The Position

The Archdiocese of Denver is seeking a collaborative, compassionate, and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join their Mission Support Centers team. This position supports employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle and plays an important role in creating a positive employee experience rooted in service, respect, and the dignity of the human person. This role is more than a job; it is a ministry in service to the Church’s mission.

Requirements

Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)
Align with the values and mission of the Catholic Church and possess a willingness to practice human resources from this faithful perspective.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field—or equivalent combination of experience and education
At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).

Nice To Haves

SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred or a plan in place to become certified.

Responsibilities

Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, pre-employment requirements, onboarding, I-9 completion, and employee transitions.
Serve as an approachable HR resource for employees and supervisors while assisting with workplace concerns, performance management, corrective actions, and employee relations matters.
Support benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, employee leave programs, workers’ compensation, and employee benefit questions.
Maintain accurate employee information, process employment and organizational changes, assist with timekeeping and PTO questions, and conduct routine HRIS audits.
Maintain confidential employee records and support compliance with applicable employment laws, HR policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Build positive relationships across the organization and provide timely, compassionate, and professional HR support in service to employees and the broader mission of the Church.
