About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel, communications, policy administration, onboarding new staff, and enforcing company policies and practices.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 1 year (if you have a degree).
  • Experience of 5 years+ in HR with full life cycle management will be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

  • Paylocity experience preferred.
  • DISA experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in administering compensation, benefit and employee performance plans.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Works with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigates, counsels, and assists in resolving disputes, and disciplinary matters.
  • Manage inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.
  • May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
