About The Position

The HR Generalist - Manhattan position supports new employee onboarding, annual training initiatives, quarterly presentations, and administers the leadership program. This role participates on the L&D team and supports the HR Department's efforts by collaborating, providing input, and executing plans within the plant. The Generalist will complete external salary analysis for the annual budget cycle and participate in project teams for the annual performance review cycle, compensation cycle, and benefits open enrollment. They will also prepare and send employee communications, including announcements, manager emails, and campaign materials. This role serves as a trusted HR advisor to site leadership and employees, fostering relationships and upholding company values. Additionally, the HR Generalist manages the full-cycle hiring process, participates in enterprise-wide projects, and conducts metrics analysis. Operational duties include vendor management, office management, and tactical HR tasks, as well as facility access monitoring and visitor management.

Requirements

  • Strong personal organization skills: able to manage multiple priorities and take initiative.
  • Proven knowledge of various software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ability to create and deliver presentation-quality materials with an eye for style, formatting, and consistency.
  • Customer service-oriented approach to HR with a sense of urgency in response to requests from all Team members.
  • High attention to detail, deadlines, follow-through, and follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to act proactively to develop, recommend, and assist with the implementation of new HR initiatives, procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and business writing communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills to support external and internal clients.
  • High level of integrity and honesty, and ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to daily employment, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field or, equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of HR support experience including recruiting.
  • Intermediate level of experience with both an HRIS and ATS is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the food manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Experience with UKG is a plus.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP a plus.

  • Manage the full-cycle hiring process, participate in enterprise-wide projects, and metrics analysis.
  • Provide day-to-day support of HR and Administrative duties from vendor management, office management, and tactical HR duties.
  • Provide facility access monitoring & manage visitor relationships by maintaining and monitoring visitor logs, key card access systems, updated records and coordinate modifications as needed.
