Scott Electric is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the organization across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, compliance, and more. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and maintains confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.

Requirements

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Empathetic, approachable, and employee-focused
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing issues
  • Must submit a background check and drug testing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist or similar experience
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices and employment laws

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues promptly and professionally
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Support performance appraisal processes and provide guidance to managers
  • Assist in the development and execution of performance improvement plans
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities
  • Support succession planning and career development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation
  • Contribute to ongoing HR projects that enhance employee engagement and process improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support organizational goals
  • Respond to employee questions about benefits, eligibility, and coverage
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment process and lead related employee sessions
  • Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and assist with enrollments
  • Provide guidance on leave policies, eligibility, and process
  • Manage documentation for various types of leave, including FMLA and ADA
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure staffing during absences
  • Support the return-to-work process, including necessary accommodations
