About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Generalist at WW Solutions Vehicle Services Canada, Ltd., a Wallenius Wilhelmsen company. WW Solutions VSC operates one of Canada’s premier vehicles processing terminals, employing approximately 340 union and non-union team members. Located on Annacis Island, we receive, accessorize, and distribute new vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers to locations throughout Canada. Requirements

  • Solid background as an HR generalist in a unionized environment, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources management or related discipline
  • Strong client‑service orientation with proven problem‑solving abilities in complex employee and labor‑relations situations
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and persuasive skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive and high‑stakes discussions with confidence.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation relevant to unionized environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze numerical data, draw logical inferences, and provide reasonable recommendations.
  • Brings a positive attitude, empathy, and a sense of humor to support strong relationships and resilience.
  • Self-starter with the ability to act independently, and as part of a team.
  • Uses tact, discretion, and sound judgment in handling employee and labor‑relations matters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Nice To Haves

  • CPHR designation would be an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS, Workday, and Payroll systems; Kronos is a plus
  • Prior experience in a unionized environment who thrives on leading change and partnering with the business to achieve results

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and provide human resources expertise to front-line supervisory staff and individual employees.
  • Deliver advice, support, and assist in the full scope of human resources services, including, but not limited to the following: Recruitment and selection, New employee orientation, Performance management, Employee and labor relations, Attendance and disability management, Employee recognition and reward programs, Wellness programs
  • Create and maintain reports, records, and systems across the various HR systems – Kronos and Workday.
  • Other duties as assigned.
