About The Position

The HR Generalist uses a proactive, consultative approach to provide clients with customized, practical HR solutions across talent selection, compensation, employee relations, leave administration, performance management, employee benefits, policies and procedures, training and development, and regulatory compliance. The role also works with HR Specialists on audits, compliance research, forms and policies, and other projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification.
• Current, valid driver's license.
• Two to three years of HR experience, including at least two years in HR consulting focused on employee relations, employee engagement, compliance, policies and processes, training, and coaching leadership teams.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, payroll reporting, and HR administration.
• Ability to communicate concisely with clients, resolve issues, and give direct advice.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices, including FMLA, ADA, EEO and EEO-1, FLSA, I-9s, benefits administration, audits, NLRB, OSHA recordkeeping, and background and drug testing processes.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently to provide client solutions and collaboratively on multiple projects.
• Strong consulting skills and a proactive approach to exceeding client expectations.
• Strong initiative and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve HR-related problems and communicate with multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Keep up with employment law and HR best practices.
• Provide proactive HR consulting with guidance from the HR Engagement Manager.
• Document Thread Engagement processes.
• Ensure client work stays within budget while maintaining quality and completing milestones.
• Support Thread systems, processes, and culture.
