About The Position

Forge Group, LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support a growing government contracting organization. This role will play a key part in executing core HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, payroll support, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability, collaborative environment. This position requires a strong understanding of HR best practices, attention to detail, and the ability to balance employee support with business needs.   • 2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR support role
  • Strong knowledge of HR fundamentals including employee engagement, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, performance management, and compliance
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, proposals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the government contracting (GovCon) industry
  • Experience using isolved, isolved Hire, and Unanet
  • Familiarity with multi-state employment compliance
  • Experience supporting payroll processes or working closely with payroll teams

Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle from offer letter and onboarding to offboarding
  • Coordinate pre-hire activities, including offer letters and candidate communications
  • Support job requisition postings and assist with candidate screening, as needed
  • Manage candidate dispositions and maintain accurate, compliant records within the ATS
  • Lead and facilitate new hire orientation
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and general support
  • Support payroll processing and administer leave programs, including military leave, jury duty, parental leave, and sabbaticals
  • Assist with benefits administration, including invoice review and employee support
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, including government contracting requirements
  • Support HR policies and employee handbook updates
  • Support compliance reporting and audits (i.e., EEO-1, VETS-4212)
  • Coordinate and track annual employee compliance training and initiatives
  • Support performance management processes and review cycles
  • Support learning and development programs, including internal training initiatives
  • Utilize HR systems (i.e., HRIS, ATS, timekeeping system) to manage employee data and generate reports
  • Identify and support process improvements and HR operations automation efforts
  • Assist with internal employee communications, including employee newsletters and announcements
  • Provide general support to the HR and Operations team, as needed
