The HR Generalist will support staff in their work and lives, being involved in various aspects of human resources including recruiting, benefits administration, training, employee relations, payroll, rewards and recognition, and employment law compliance. Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll, HR or recruiting experience.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, adapt flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-speed environment.
  • Tech savvy, computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, online resources and expert searching capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing timecard collection, deductions, PTO accruals, garnishments and compensation.
  • Sourcing, screening and participating on interview teams to hire candidates that align with Anythink values while providing a superb customer experience for hiring teams and candidates alike.
  • Guiding candidates through orientation, providing them with tools for success, and helping them feel like part of the team.
  • Leading benefit administration, holding new-hire meetings, coordinating enrollment and member benefit changes with vendors, and connecting staff with benefit resources.
  • Understanding the complexities and organization necessary for compliance reporting and management of programs like EEO-1, COBRA, FMLA, Work Comp and District Drivers.
  • Balancing the needs of the business, employee and customer for maximum organization performance and efficiencies.
  • Creating amazing experiences for staff through programs such as staff events, wellness programs, reward, recognition and appreciation.
  • Being part of many different projects that help staff thrive, from compensation studies, performance reviews, and development trainings.
  • Exploring technology and learning about emerging trends that support HR initiatives.
  • Understanding HRIS systems and how to utilize them to help manage data and reporting.
  • Understanding the learning and development needs of the organization.
  • Coordinating development and/or facilitating trainings that are relevant and meaningful to the organization and that help strengthen the culture.
  • Tracking HR metrics and analyzing data to recommend programs for continuous improvement.
  • Always having hospitality in mind, both when working with internal and external customers.
  • Collaborating with other departments and branches to support the needs of the district.
  • Being a dynamic communicator with a positive and enthusiastic style, who can build connections with staff, customers, community partners, and district leadership.
