About The Position

WoodmenLife is looking to hire an HR Generalist to join their team. In this role, the HR Generalist will partner with the Total Rewards team to support the administration and operations of WoodmenLife’s compensation and benefits programs. This position performs a broad range of compensation and benefits functions, ranging from day-to-day transactional support to more technical system administration tasks. The HR Generalist will serve as a resource for associates regarding benefits inquiries and support the effective delivery of Total Rewards programs across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of demonstrated Human Resources experience, preferably with exposure to compensation and/or benefits administration.
  • Knowledgeable of laws and regulations pertaining to ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and FLSA as they relate to benefits and compensation programs.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated project and process management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively interact with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills required to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to make appropriate and timely decisions based upon the specific circumstances of the situation and able to implement those decisions throughout the business culture.
  • Ability to be open to new strategies and approaches; able to effectively cope with change and adapt as needed.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and maintain an effective approach.
  • Able to build effective relationships with internal and/or external customers to ensure expectations are exceeded.
  • Able to focus one’s time and efforts on the critical items needed to achieve business results.

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, CCP, or CEBS).
  • Experience with HRIS platforms in a compensation or benefits configuration capacity (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
