We’re seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist who shares our heart for people and our commitment to meaningful impact. You’ll guide day-to-day HR operations—from recruitment and onboarding to nurturing a culture where every teammate feels valued and equipped to serve. The HR Generalist will strengthen Found Village’s people systems, ensuring staff and volunteers are cared for, equipped, and connected to our mission. This role blends recruiting and onboarding with daily HR operations, compliance, and employee support. The ideal candidate is relationship-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about creating people-first systems in a mission-based environment.

  • 7+years of HR experience
  • Solid understanding of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Proven experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, mission-driven team.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
  • Deep belief in Found Village’s mission to empower youth from hard places.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years in a generalist role preferred
  • Nonprofit or youth-serving experience preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the full recruitment cycle— from job descriptions to interviews to onboarding — ensuring every new team member feels welcomed and aligned with our mission.
  • Design and deliver onboarding experiences that set up new hires and volunteers for success.
  • Partner with leadership to understand staffing needs and ensure values-driven, equitable hiring.
  • Maintain and improve HR systems and records, including payroll updates, benefits, and compliance processes.
  • Support policy development, performance reviews, and feedback cycles that foster growth and accountability.
  • Serve as a confidential resource for staff, offering guidance and care around HR-related concerns.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and people-first culture through connection, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen belonging, wellbeing, and community across the organization.
