Requirements

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in hands-on HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Operations role.
  • Some payroll experience preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-state HR operations; Canadian HR experience is preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
  • Some knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Billingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Tax filing, setup and maintenance experience is a plus
  • Experience handling confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Canadian HR experience is preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
  • Billingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Tax filing, setup and maintenance experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data while ensuring strict confidentiality.
  • Support payroll administration utilizing ADP and Deel, including employee data updates and payroll-related changes.
  • Serve as an HR partner providing guidance and recommendations to managers and employees on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace issues.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit documentation, system access, and final HR procedures.
  • Process employee status changes, compensation adjustments, promotions, transfers, and benefit updates.
  • Provide guidance on plan provisions and eligibility, resolve escalated benefit issues, and support annual open enrollment activities.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, evaluate findings, document outcomes, and recommend appropriate resolutions consistent with company policy and applicable employment laws.
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Maintain HR reports, organizational data, personnel documentation, and workforce records.
  • Coordinate mandatory compliance training, policy acknowledgments, and required certifications.
  • Participate in HR projects and organizational initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, leaves of absence, and employment verification requests.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding activities as needed.
  • Travel occasionally throughout the United States and Canada to support business operations and HR initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
