DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: General: Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, concerns, and requests, including benefits, leave, policies, and workplace practices. Partner with studio leadership to support employee needs, strengthen employee engagement, and promote a positive workplace culture. Support employee relations matters by documenting concerns, assisting with investigations, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Support HR initiatives including performance management cycles, annual reviews, onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee offboarding. Partner with Retro Studios and Nintendo recruiting teams to support hiring-related processes, onboarding integration, and recruitment initiatives as needed. Support effective communication and implementation of studio-wide HR policies, programs, and initiatives. Assist in the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate, confidential employee personnel records and HRIS data; conduct audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and proper documentation. Prepare HR reports and metrics such as headcount, turnover, and absenteeism to support workforce planning and decision-making. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and HR colleagues on projects, audits, and special assignments. Stay current on employment law updates, HR trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned. Lead the annual partnership with Nintendo of America (NOA) to validate and ensure 100% data accuracy for the annual Total Rewards Statements, ensuring employees have a clear, transparent view of their full compensation. Area of Expertise: Serve as the primary expert on benefits, leave administration, and 401k plan management. Administer and coordinate employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, vendor communication, and employee education. Manage and support workers’ compensation cases, employee leave programs, and unemployment claims, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and company requirements. Function as an HR compliance liaison with Nintendo of America on employment-related requirements, including FLSA, ADA accommodations, FMLA administration, EEO practices, I-9 compliance, and employee handbook updates. Coordinate payroll administration activities, including data validation, reporting, and issue resolution in partnership with Finance and external vendors.
