HR Generalist, Facilities

GrünsPennsylvania, PA
$100,000 - $120,000Onsite

About The Position

Grüns is opening a second warehouse facility and needs a sharp, people-first HR Generalist to help them do it right. This role is the on-the-ground HR presence across two facilities: their Pennsylvania site (home base) and their Roanoke, TX location. The HR Generalist will own the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and payroll to employee relations and recruiting, while building the systems that help both facilities run at a high level as they scale. This role will support a diverse, fast-moving population of both salaried and hourly employees. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent in both the administrative and human sides of HR, and comfortable making judgment calls in real time. They will bring Grüns' values and culture into every interaction at both sites. This role is part of the HQ people team and sits on-site at the Pennsylvania facility. The team comes together twice a year for off-sites where the whole team connects IRL.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with direct experience supporting hourly, warehouse, or manufacturing populations
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
  • Hands-on experience with the full generalist function: employee relations, performance documentation, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance
  • Recruited hourly and supervisory roles and is comfortable owning a high-volume hiring push
  • Proficient in HR tools including an HRIS, E-Verify, Greenhouse, Indeed, and LinkedIn
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with care and strong judgment
  • Can build processes from scratch, not just maintain existing ones

Responsibilities

  • Own on-site HR operations across two facilities (Pennsylvania and Roanoke, TX), serving as the primary HR contact for supervisors, hourly employees, and temp staff
  • Lead recruiting for the PA warehouse opening (slated for August 2026) and support ongoing hiring needs at both sites
  • Run full-cycle onboarding: new hire paperwork, E-Verify, HRIS setup, and culture training aligned to the Grüns way of operating
  • Handle payroll processing, compliance posting, and HRIS administration for both facilities
  • Manage first-line employee relations: performance documentation, investigations, escalations, and assistance with terminations
  • Conduct offboarding and exit interviews and maintain tight documentation throughout
  • Build and deliver a quarterly competitive comp analysis to support retention at both sites
  • Travel to Roanoke at least quarterly to maintain presence, trust, and compliance
  • Serve as a trusted communicator for English and Spanish-speaking employees, making sure information and expectations flow clearly between HQ, supervisors, and hourly staff
  • Contribute to Grüns-wide people initiatives as a member of our HQ People team.

Benefits

  • competitive total compensation package
  • comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team
