About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands-on partner to business leaders across their assigned region. This role supports a multi-site operational workforce and provides end-to-end HR guidance across employee relations, talent management, performance management, compliance, and labor relations. California HR experience is strongly preferred, and union experience is beneficial. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, passion for HR, and the ability to execute with consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, Technology, or other degree with transferable skills for this position, combined with HR experience.
  • 1-3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices; California HR experience strongly preferred
  • Union or labor relations experience beneficial
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with HR systems
  • Organizational skills, time management, and the ability to take a proactive approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with strong ownership and follow-through
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Sound judgment to advise managers, employees, and the company

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience supporting multi-state or geographically dispersed workforces
  • Experience in operational, field-based, or labor-intensive environments

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to regional leaders, providing practical and compliant guidance aligned with business objectives
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, corrective action, and terminations
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with strong emphasis on California employment regulations
  • Support labor relations activities as applicable, including interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies, offers, and onboarding for assigned regions
  • Lead and support HR initiatives, including engagement, retention, performance cycles, and change management
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless execution of HR programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and HR data within HR systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Analyze HR metrics and use Excel-based reporting to identify trends, risks, and recommendations
