You will be employed directly by a temporary agency before becoming a permanent GCI employee. At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a HR Generalist, a typical day will include the following duties:

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0 - 1 years of related human resources experience.
• Effective administrative and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to learn to make effective presentations to small and large groups of employees.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering human resources activities for assigned office, group, sector or section within a Division, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assists in performing a variety of professional level tasks in multiple functional areas of HR, including benefits, compensation, recruiting, professional development, and employee relations.
• Assists in designing and running queries and preparing various reports as requested by management.
• Assists in facilitating new hire orientation sessions, and may prepare orientation packages.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant human resources procedures and practices, and relevant labor laws.
• Travel to company locations and client sites may be required.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, which may include reporting and records requirements, as well as responding to audits.
