About The Position

The HR Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the company's human resources department. Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in human resources management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Schedule and conduct phone interviews for entry level positions
  • Assist with I-9 documentation
  • Manage job boards and postings of open positions
  • Initiate, track, and record criminal background checks, employment verifications, and motor vehicle reports
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
  • Log disciplinary forms
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
