About The Position

The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while helping ensure a positive employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle. This role supports onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, benefits administration, compliance activities, training initiatives, HR reporting, and day-to-day employee support. The HR Coordinator serves as a key resource for employees and an important contributor to maintaining an efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR function. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of experience in an HR support or HR Coordinator role
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment regulations
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, PWFA, and employment law compliance requirements
  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services environments preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre-employment requirements, new hire paperwork, orientations, and exit procedures
  • Serving as a resource for employee questions regarding benefits, forms, policies, and HR processes
  • Assisting with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, events, and town hall meetings
  • Supporting benefits administration, enrollments, audits, open enrollment activities, and employee communications
  • Coordinating training programs, orientation activities, onboarding experiences, and employee development initiatives
  • Managing workers' compensation administration and supporting unemployment claim responses
  • Maintaining employee records, HRIS data integrity, compliance documentation, and reporting
  • Assisting with audits, credential tracking, policy administration, and regulatory compliance efforts
