About The Position
DEAR Services is hiring a 01 Journeyman Plumber with a sign-on bonus. As a 01 Journeyman Plumber for DEAR Services in Washington State, you must be certified by the Washington State Plumber Certification Program. This role offers the opportunity to work with your hands, engage in conversations with clients, and improve their lives by working one-on-one to sell and install customized solutions that fit clients' needs, wants, and budget, showcasing your craftsmanship. DEAR Services provides an environment for setting and achieving goals, with ongoing training and incentives for continuing education to foster advancement. Technicians will drive a new truck and work with a fun team, with opportunities for growth and compensation.
Requirements
- Must have a valid WA State 01 Journeyman Plumber license.
- 4 years (8,000 hours) of residential or commercial hands-on plumbing experience.
- Applicants must pass an exam, take 16 hours of continuing education, and be supervised by a certified plumber.
- 8,000 hours of supervised experience as a plumber trainee.
- Must have a proven track record of successful installation or service.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with a variety of residential plumbing systems, hand/power tools, and trade knowledge.
- Positive attitude.
- Hard working.
- Must be reliable.
- Must have a valid WA State driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must be comfortable in small spaces (e.g., crawl spaces and attics).
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with residential clients to sell and install customized solutions.
- Ensure correct project work by working with inspectors, suppliers, and co-worker technicians, while abiding by all codes.
- Install plumbing hardware.
- Travel to customer locations as needed.
- Communicate with customers in all types of circumstances.
