About The Position

Horizon Health is seeking an HR coordinator to join our team at the national support center in Lewisville, TX. This position is responsible for initial intake processing including pre-selection background checks, education verification, drug screens and state required processes, initial required new hire employment documents for Personnel Action Form (PAF) processing as well as other new hire documents for personnel file. Ensure all new hire documents are kept up to date and consistent with Horizon standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/ GED required
  • 3-5 years of HR experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of employment laws
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Working knowledge of HR database management and reporting
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of behavioral health or health care highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the pre and post selection employment process, including background, substance abuse/drug screening, education verification for identified positions and fingerprinting in required states for new hires, rehires, and acquisitions. This also includes vendor setup, invoice processing, personnel file and informal training or communication with new hiring managers.
  • Collecting required documents for PAF/On-Board processing i.e., offer letter, ARC, non-compete (if applicable), etc. Ensuring that the most current form or version is being utilized. Noting receipt of required documents on PAF in a timely manner for processing.
  • Maintain up to date listing of positions that require education verification and/or non-compete
  • Stay abreast of changes relative to the position i.e., drug screening, I-9’s, State requirements for background check forms/disclosures, etc. ongoing.
  • Interface with supervisors during the pre/post employment process as it relates to employee required processes and documentation
  • Ensures new hire forms are completed/received timely and in accordance with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Coordinate receipt of I-9 form to meet USCIS requirements and tracking of employment authorization where expiration dates are applicable.
  • Set up new hire/rehire personnel files.
  • Liaison for background and drug vendor inquiries, communication and changes.
  • Presenter for new hire material and processes including I-9 process during quarterly Leadership Orientation.
  • Maintain updated new hire packet documents and distribute as necessary.
  • Ensure new hire documents and processes are kept up to date and are posted as applicable.
  • Provide phone support to employees, clients, vendors, etc.
  • Timely maintenance of employee personnel files.
  • Special projects as requested by Director of Human Resources and HR Department Manager.
  • Continually analyzes HR processes and procedures for efficiency, best practices and continual improvement.
