Requirements

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for leave of absence programs, including FMLA, CBA medical leaves, and related policies, under the guidance of HR leadership.
  • Administer leave programs in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, USERRA, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act.
  • Manage all administrative aspects of leave cases, including tracking leave usage, maintaining accurate records, and partnering with the HR Service Center and Payroll to ensure proper pay administration.
  • Coordinate with associates to obtain and review required medical documentation in a timely manner and maintain regular communication throughout the leave process.
  • Oversee all return-to-work activities, including fitness-for-duty evaluations and accommodation discussions, when applicable.
  • Identify potential leave abuse or fraudulent activity and partner with Employee Relations to investigate and resolve concerns.
  • Develop, maintain, and present leave-related reports, metrics, and analytics to support operational and compliance objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to associates and leaders on Human Resources policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Support HR initiatives and programs, including regulatory compliance, new hire onboarding, employee transfers, promotions, and leaves of absence.
  • Process personnel transactions accurately and efficiently through PeopleSoft, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and other employee status changes.
  • Administer on-site pre-employment drug screenings and coordinate related hiring requirements.
  • Maintain electronic personnel records, ensuring timely scanning, filing, and retention of employee documentation.
  • Conduct HR data integrity audits and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Design and run PeopleSoft queries and reports to support workforce analytics, including turnover, hiring trends, staffing metrics, and diversity goals.
  • Assist with special projects, audits, presentations, and reporting initiatives for HR leadership.
  • Ensure the organization, confidentiality, and security of all Human Resources records and files.
