About The Position

Insource Services, Inc. is seeking an HR Consultant to serve as the primary Human Resources resource for clients and leadership, often working as an embedded part of the client's organization. You will act as the part-time HR Department for several clients in various industries. Working as part of a service delivery team that includes recruiting and HR administrative support, you will provide HR services and serve as a resource to client management on all employment matters. Your role will involve being flexible and practical when addressing issues, with an understanding that a primary role is to reduce client risk and exposure to matters related to employment practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience with increasing levels of autonomy and proactive engagement with the work.
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized companies, from startups to 150 employees.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in engaging with clients in a highly professional and service-oriented manner; serves as an effective ambassador of Insource HR at client sites.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment skills and a positive, inclusive, interactive style.
  • Experience explaining and presenting HR information and practices to current and prospective clients clearly and with gravitas.
  • Conversant in Federal and Massachusetts employment regulations; proactive in problem-solving and accessing additional resources as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources resource for clients and leadership, acting as the part-time HR Department for several clients in various industries.
  • Provide HR services and serve as a resource to client management on all employment matters, being flexible and practical when addressing issues.
  • Reduce client risk and exposure to matters related to employment practices.
  • Assist with routine and complex employee relations/performance issues.
  • Guide on non-standard matters, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, reorganization, policy creation, and leadership mentoring.
  • Perform routine HR management duties, including benefits oversight, handbook development and updates, and job description creation.
  • Enhance and update policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws, best practices, and cultural inclusion, while proactively identifying instances of noncompliance with labor laws.
  • Design and coordinate new employee onboarding and exit meetings.
  • Mitigate employment issues, lay-offs/terminations, equity audits, and compliance to offer advice to clients on all HR-related functions.
  • Participate in HR Assessments of new clients and work with the team to launch new clients.
