About The Position

The HR Consultant, HR for HR, partners with and supports the global People and Culture organization through the coordinated delivery of annual HR processes and employee support activities. This role provides organized, professional, and confidential support for talent acquisition & management, employee lifecycle transactions, budgeting, general HR policies and procedures, and talent management, and HR Connection, while building capability in HR operations, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. The role works with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and helps ensure that materials, communications, and follow-up actions are accurate, timely, and presented with a positive employee experience in mind.

Requirements

Ability to establish trust, retain confidentiality, and use discretion when handling employee data and People & Culture business-sensitive materials.
Strong professional maturity and presence, excellent interpersonal judgment, and ability to collaborate and maintain positive relationships with employees and leaders across functions and geographic locations.
Working knowledge of broad HR fundamentals, including employee relations, performance management, talent management, succession planning, onboarding, and HR policies and procedures; ability to learn and apply process requirements consistently.
Proven ability to support multiple annual processes at the same time, manage deadlines, maintain accurate follow-up, and organize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong technical capability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required, as well as proficiency working independently with Word, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
Strong organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to accurate work, reliable documentation, high-quality deliverables, and dependable follow-up.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for employees, leaders, and a global population.
Strong process mindset with the ability to standardize, simplify, document and improve procedures, templates, training materials, and ways of working.

Nice To Haves

Web page design, intranet publishing, or digital content-management experience a plus.
Relevant coursework or training in HR, project coordination, facilitation, data analysis, communications preferred.
Professional HR certification through HRCI or SHRM is preferred.
A minimum of 6 years relevant experience supporting HR programs, annual business processes, project coordination, communications, or administrative operations is preferred.
Experience in an HR generalist, HR operations, or other applicable HR role is beneficial.
Experience handling confidential information and working with stakeholders from front-line employees through senior management is strongly preferred.
This is a developmental role; demonstrated learning agility, professionalism, team-building ability, sound judgment, follow-through, creative problem-solving, and willingness to build broader HR capability are important.
Experience preparing Excel analyses, PowerPoint presentations, meeting materials, trackers, employee-facing communications, or HR data requests is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting employee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee connection is also valuable.
Experience in the chemical, manufacturing, energy, or other complex industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate the annual HR budgeting process by coordinating timelines, gathering data inputs, maintaining trackers, preparing Excel analyses, and following up on open actions, including monthly forecast and actuals reporting.
Handle confidential employee, organizational, and business information appropriately and maintain discretion in all interactions, documentation, and communications.
Support HR Connection activities as a team lead, by coordinating inquiries, maintaining organized status information, preparing responses or materials, and routing questions to the appropriate HR subject matter expert.
Build knowledge of LYB HR policies, processes, systems, and annual-cycle requirements and apply that knowledge consistently within the scope of the role.
Maintain accurate and organized records, calendars, trackers, templates, and version-controlled materials to support audit readiness and reliable process execution.
Identify opportunities to improve templates, communications, workflows, and stakeholder experience, and support implementation of approved improvements within HR for HR team.
Provide responsive and professional support to global People & Culture employees, managers, and HR Leadership Team, using sound judgment and a service-oriented approach.
Support annual performance and talent processes by preparing materials, coordinating communications and deadlines, tracking completion.
Support the People & Culture business and Talent Acquisition to obtain skilled talent through participation in interview and offer process.
Coordinate with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and other global stakeholders to support consistent and timely delivery of HR activities and annual calendar.
Prepare clear and professional presentations, reports, meeting agendas and materials, and communications using PowerPoint, Excel, and other approved tools as assigned.
Support the improvement of quality and delivery of HR processes and data requests with zero defects.
Support development of HR content for web pages, intranet materials, or other digital channels; contribute to page design and content maintenance when appropriate.
Maintain positive employee relations with client groups through frequent interaction, in-person visits, and proactive communication.
Support medical case managers to ensure compliance with FMLA and LYB leave of absence policies for People & Culture business.
