This role provides professional support in areas of Talent Acquisition, Policy Interpretation, Classification and Compensation. The HR Consultant will review intake forms and job/position descriptions for appropriate classification, assist supervisors in setting salaries during the hiring process and during agency transfers and promotions, and perform other duties as assigned. The position also involves assisting employees and supervisors with performance management workflows, providing information on policies and procedures, developing job postings, screening applications, participating in recruitment events, reviewing employment recommendations for compliance, conducting pre-employment references and verifications, and attending statewide meetings to stay informed and share information.
