About The Position

ecobee's world class HR team is looking for a HR Business Partner to provide guidance and advise our ever-growing hive. This role will work with a variety of business units across our diverse organization. As a HR Business Partner at ecobee, you will have the opportunity to work on a number of matters related to employee engagement, performance management, compensation and employee relations. In this role, you will partner with your client groups and get to work closely with our greater HR team! Reporting to our Director of HR, we are looking for someone innovative who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and can roll up their sleeves to help make ecobee the best place to work.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a consultative HR Business Partner role for a technology focused organization.
  • Excel in building relationships, and people at all levels are comfortable confiding in you.
  • Conflict resolution is where you shine, and you are excited to see growth being made within your teams.
  • Leaders turn to you for help and advice on how to manage their teams.
  • Knowledgeable in HR law and regulations; experience with employment in multiple provinces is a plus.
  • Experience working in a rapidly scaling company where you’re able to manage several projects.
  • Hyper organized and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable with a high-volume workload and happy to jump in when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Play a strong role in recognizing and supporting a performance driven culture with a focus on talent management, coaching and mentoring leaders (from first time managers to seasoned executives) and complex employee relations.
  • Understanding business goals, recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to support business objectives, productivity and development of HR within our teams.
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to help develop, retain, and engage high potential and high performing ecopeeps.
  • With a hands-on approach, work with our employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
