Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to employee relations, performance management, recruiting, engagement, training, or HR operations.
  • Foundational knowledge of employment laws and understanding when to seek guidance or escalate a concern.
  • Ability to apply policies consistently while balancing employee needs, business requirements, empathy, and accountability.
  • Ability to build credibility by listening, communicating clearly, maintaining confidentiality, and following through on commitments.
  • Comfortable supporting managers, coordinating HR processes, analyzing information, and making practical recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with employees and leaders at different levels.
  • Organized, curious, dependable, and motivated to develop HR business-partner capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use HRIS, applicant-tracking, learning-management, and reporting systems.
  • Availability for approximately 20% travel based on business needs.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant HR experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders on business and workforce priorities, building trusted relationships, understanding operational needs, and supporting workforce plans by monitoring headcount, vacancies, hiring, overtime, attendance, turnover, time-to-fill, engagement, and internal movement. Use trends to identify needs and support measurable action plans.
  • Provide employee relations and compliance support, responding to employee and manager questions, assisting with workplace investigations, and guiding leaders through attendance, performance, and corrective-action processes. Apply policies consistently and escalate complex or high-risk matters appropriately.
  • Develop manager and supervisor capabilities by providing practical guidance on goal setting, feedback, documentation, accountability, employee development, and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention by partnering with recruiting resources and hiring managers to meet staffing needs, strengthen onboarding, improve retention, and create a positive employee experience.
  • Coordinate talent and development programs, supporting performance reviews, talent discussions, succession planning, high-potential development, training, tuition reimbursement, and online learning administration.
  • Strengthen engagement and culture by supporting surveys, recognition, communications, inclusion efforts, and related action plans. Model Dymax values and collaborate across HR to provide responsive, consistent support across departments and shifts.
  • Reinforce safety and employment compliance by partnering with HR and EHS on safety initiatives, workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs, required documentation, and compliance with applicable employment laws.
  • Support compensation, organizational, and change initiatives by gathering market and job information, preparing documentation for compensation and job evaluations, and supporting communications, training, and employee needs related to new processes, technology, organizational changes, and culture initiatives.
