About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a member of the on-site HR team supporting more than 700 Southern Nuclear employees at Plant Farley. The HRBP works with employees and leaders, including the Plant Manager and Vice President, on matters related to performance management, talent staffing, workforce planning, HR policies and governance, people health metrics and a variety of other generalist duties. This position reports to the site HR Manager but will work independently with all levels of leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field strongly preferred
  • Professional certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and/or the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred
  • Experienced HR knowledge in talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance management, employee and labor relations, HR Technology, and other general HR concentrations.
  • Possesses expertise in strategic business partner consulting, team building, critical thinking, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, plant or utility environment is strongly preferred, especially involving safety culture and regulatory compliance unique to such settings.
  • HR Experience with union and non-union employees is a plus.
  • In-depth expertise in HR disciplines including compensation and benefits, employment law, performance management, change management, workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to partner and influence senior leadership in developing and executing HR strategies that support organizational goals, showing adaptability and strategic thinking.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with a track record of providing actionable insights for business leaders based on thorough understanding of departmental needs.
  • Ability to assess and continuously improve HR practices, supporting adaptation to rapidly changing business landscapes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics, using specific HR technologies such as Oracle, to guide HR strategy and drive organizational performance.
  • Expertise in managing organizational change with measurable outcomes, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining high levels of employee engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including emotional intelligence, adaptability, and clear communication, with a demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus.
