About The Position

The Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic partner to all business units to provide HR counsel and support. This person will demonstrate a broad scope of knowledge and experience of HR practices though day to day HR activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience coaching management on employee relations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Current drivers’ licenses.

Nice To Haves

HR certification, preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR)

Responsibilities

Coach/advise managers in appropriate management best practices, i.e., performance management, discipline, terminations, reward and recognition, and retention strategies.
Advises and coaches management in appropriate resolution of complex employee relations issues.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Informs employees on benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Partners with HR management to improve processes to improve internal customer experience.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of people, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Delivers pre-determined training to ensure compliance with federal and local guidelines.
Support on a variety of HR initiatives.
