About The Position

Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner to join our team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, you will support employees across assigned client groups nationwide, acting as a trusted consultant to leadership while building partnerships across the organization to deliver HR initiatives. This role suits an effective communicator who can engage and motivate others while staying attuned to their needs and concerns, and who works efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience; at least 2 years supporting a sales organization preferred.
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including HR policy and process, leave management, recruitment, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and compliance with local employment laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Confident presenting to groups.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills.
• High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and critical/forward thinking.
• Action-oriented and results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
• Leads by example with strong ethics, integrity, and trustworthiness.
• Skilled at building collaborative, confidential relationships across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; a combination of relevant work experience and education will also be considered.
• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS preferred.
• Comfortable working within a diverse, often ambiguous environment, with adaptability and flexibility in response to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR partnership — both strategic and tactical — including day-to-day support and execution of HR strategies for assigned client groups.
• Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.
• Partner with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Provide guidance on HR policy and practices.
• Champion company culture by identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining strong relationships within assigned teams.
• Be point of contact for facility-related activities/needs at the Waverly, IA office as needed.
• Use HRIS and other systems to compile and analyze data that informs business decisions.
